Unlocking the Auric Basin Strongbox: A Step-by-Step Guide

Located in the vast expanse of Tyria, the Auric Basin is a region filled with adventure and mystery. Among its many secrets lies the Auric Basin Strongbox, a treasure trove of loot and mastery points waiting to be claimed. In this guide, we'll take you through the process of unlocking this coveted strongbox, step by step.

To begin, start at the Westwatch Waypoint and head south along the path. Take the curve east, and proceed until you reach a clearing where the strongbox awaits. But before reaching the clearing, be prepared to navigate through some treacherous terrain.

As you make your way through the winding path, you'll encounter several Veteran Quetzal Scouts, powerful enemies that will not hesitate to attack. To outrun or defeat them, use your agility and quick reflexes to dash past them. Remember, these scouts won't be able to follow you to the strongbox location.

Once you've bypassed the scouts, continue northwest and jump between ledges until you reach the upper portion of a waterfall that can be jumped through. From here, take the path leading up, near the mouth of a cave, and keep following it until you come to a cave area with a waterfall at the end.

Now, you'll need to use your gliding mastery to navigate the platforms above the waterfall. Jump up these platforms, and you'll be right next to the A Fungus Among Us adventure. Take a slight right up the slope, and you should see little platforms coming out of a branch. Eventually, you'll make it to a small camp set up at the base of a large branch.

If you have a mount, it's best to jump (or fly) past them, as pocket raptors can be quite dangerous in large groups. Along this path, you'll see several enemies, including a group of pocket raptors. To get to the Endurance strongbox, start from the Southwatch Waypoint and follow the road west.

Each of the five strongboxes in Auric Basin requires your gliding mastery and other mastery-related objects to unlock. Unlike regular mastery points, these strongboxes are not marked on the map. They contain a variety of loot and will reward you with one mastery point the first time that you open one.
